Still have questions?

Here's the process explained in more detail,
answering some common questions...

Olivia and Camila-23.jpg

Q: I'm thinking about having family photos done, how do I get started?

A: You found my website and are on the right track!  Next, you can send me a message by clicking HERE, and I'll get back to you within 24 hours.  You'll be able to choose one of two methods for me to contact you:

1. Old fashioned phone call: As a child of the 80s/90s, I'm a big fan of a good phone call. It's easy, generally only takes about 10 min, and is a great chance to connect and for you to ask any questions you have.

2. Email: I know...we're in 2021, and some people just don't do phone calls because they don't have the time, bandwidth or desire, which is totally understandable!  I can send you an email with a rundown of everything.

Q: Ok, I'm ready to DO this!  How do I book?

A: You've read over the info, and decide the time to freeze time is NOW, not later, so you want in and are ready to book - excellent!

Just pick a date on my calendar HEREI'll send you a contract, which you'll sign and submit along with a $200 session fee.

Once I receive those two things, your session is officially secured!

Q: Woo Hoo!  I'm excited for my session, but need guidance on how to prepare - can you help me with that?  Also, what if it rains on our session date?

A: You bet!  You're investing in this experience, and I want you to be fully prepared so that it goes off without a hitch.

After you book, I'll send you a detailed prep guide that includes practical tips for you on all the things, and a questionnaire so that I can get to know your whole crew a little better.

One week before the session, I'll be in email to touch base and discuss last-minute details.  I'll also be keeping an eye on the weather at that point, and will communicate with you as the date approaches as to a backup date if needed.

Q: OMG the session day is here (#exciting)!  How can I make sure my family cooperates??

A: Yes!  We've made it to The BIG Day!!  It's finally time to do the thing.  In my prep guide, I will be sending your pointers not just on wardrobe, but also on how to maximize the chances that the entire family is on board with the photo session.

Having said that - please hear me out...in life there are things you can and things you can't control.  If it's one thing I've learned as a parent, it's that kids have an uncanny ability to sense our desire for them to behave perfectly.  And once they sniff that, their mission is to derail said plan, amirite?!

If you've hired me, you know that the purpose of this session is not to get stiff portraits, but rather to capture your family just as they perfectly are.  It's the juice box break, the pouting behind a bush, the tears after a scraped knee, and the tender moments of comfort, that when mixed in with all the happy moments, make your session beautiful and DYNAMIC

Will your child(ren) rebel, meltdown or need a snack?  It's possible, and for the younger age group, probable - but take a deep breath because it is  A-OK!  It's all part of the process.  My philosophy is to hold space for all the feelings, roll with resistance, and capture it all.

During our session (usually 60 minutes, give or take), I guide and facilitate play, fun, love, connection in a go-with-the-flow manner so that it's the best experience ever.  The actual photos shouldn't be the only result of all of this, but also the memory of this moment, the session.

Q: We did it! Session success!  Now when can I see & buy my photos?!

A: Yes!  We did do it!  After your session, I carefully review your photos, pick the best ones, and edit so that they are picture-perfect. Two weeks later,  you'll get a link from me in your email and can do a happy dance.

As tempting as it might be to click on that link immediately, I suggest that you don't do it from the chair in the waiting room at the dentist, or at your desk during work.  Make it an event with your family, because...your photos will be presented to you online in slideshow format set to music.  Why not pour a glass of wine, cozy up on the couch, and watch the image slideshow of your epic family on your device - or better yet, your TV.

Once you click on the slideshow link, you'll have 24 hours to decide what package you want to buy.  You'll then have 30 days to shop my photo store.  The best part is, no matter what package you purchase, you'll have a print credit to use in the store towards getting your photos turned into art for your walls/holiday cards/calendars/heirloom albums and more!

Q: Can we K.I.T.?

A: Yes - Please - After all, we've been through a lot together by now.

Let's Keep In Touch (K.I.T.), just like we used to write to our friends in yearbooks in the 90's.

I see the families I photograph as more than just clients, but as members of my village.  And my village...well, it means a lot to me.
